Introduction

The Rock B&B is located on the B4432 near Symonds Yat Rock, See the Map and "finding us information " on the Contact us page
If accessing us by public transport it is possible to get the train to Gloucester station then from the bus stop a bus will take you straight to the top of our road in about 1hr 10 mins where we can pick you up if pre arranged

Arrival
The car park is capable of holding about 20 cars and as we only have 4 bedrooms this means we have very adequate parking. The car park is gravel with a slight slope.
All rooms are Motel style and open directly on to the car park, it is possible to reverse the car to within a few feet fof the downstairs rooms.
The front door of the property is not in use and the side door next to the guest rooms is the main door for arrivals to report to.
In case there is no answer from the front door telephone numbers are displayed where we can be contacted
assistance with un loading luggage is always available

Entrace to the rooms
The two downstairs rooms are accessed down a single step which has no hand rail.
There is an entrance door to a small lobby with an entrance door to the double room on the left and a twin room on the right.

Our upstairs roomes are accessed by an external metal staircase with an identical arrangement of doors. the only exception been that the external door into the lobby can be l;ocked to suite the two upstairs rooms together.

Entrace to the breakfast room lounge
The breakfast room is located through two gates into the garden then on a concrete path to a set of patio doors into the Breakfast room.

Often our dog ( a springer spaniel) is in the garden, he is very quiet and not likely to jump up or pester you (provided you are not dressed as a pheasent!!) but if you don't like dogs advise us on arrival ( although we alwways ask) and we can keep him out of the garden.

Bedrooms
Pictures of all our romms are given Here the Bed in our ross room the downstairs Double is rather low and some people find that a little awkward on the Knees!
All rooms have ensuite shower rooms none of which are large not suitable for wheel chair access.
Our downstairs windows are not key lockable but are locked by physically removing the locking lever. nightime ventilation is achieved by vents at the top of the window

Phone numbers are positioned behind the door for emergencies

Our fire Risk assessment assumes that Guests can evacuate the bedrooms unassisted in case of fire, if this is not the case please advise at time of booking

The Garden
The garden is about a 1/3of an acre and has numeros benches and seating arranged fr guest use. Here magnificent views towards the malverns can be seen.

The lounge/ breakfast room the breakfast room is fitted with individual tables to sit two or 4 guests, there is also a full disabled toilet available from the breakfast room /Lounge.

Furniture in the lounge is regularly re arranged to meet specific guests requirements. Free space under the tables is 650 mm
There is a wood burning stove which is normally used in the mornings to take any chill off the room and in the winter months the fire is left on at weekends when we are full, but we are always willing to light the fire on request even for single guests

Breakfast is partly self service but can be fully waitered if requested.
