High above the town is the Kymin - a naval Monumount to commemorate those british sailors who died in the napolionic wars was built around 1805. The monument was paid for by the Gentlemans club - the Kymin club - thus the name. The Kymin can be visited on one of two circular walks documented by Chris and Lindy fromThe Rock B&B.

It is also possible to Walk to Monmouth From the Rock B&B or to cycle on off road tracks along the Wye Valley
