Guests agree The Rock's position makes it a special place to stay and one of the best B&B's in the Forest of Dean. It is Located at 600 ft on the ridge between the Wye and Ruardean valleys and offers spectacular 25 mile views, with forest walks starting just 30 paces away. Coleford is the nearest small town. Ross on Wye and Monmouth are also close by offering a variety of Shops, restaurants and tea rooms although some of the best pubs and places to eat are within 3 miles of the Rock itself.
Chris and Lindy try their best to make all guests welcome and are keen to share their enthusiasm for the area in an informal artmosphere which most guests appreciate. The Rock aims to offer modern hotel standard rooms with the friendliness and informality of AA graded 4 star Guest Accommodation and the layout of the Rock means you do not have to feel you are living in someone elses home as all rooms have their own direct acess.
