Monmouth and Ross on Wye are only a short drive away.

The Rock is Located in one of the most beautiful areas of the Forest of Dean. To the front of the property the forest stretches down to the Wye Valley, offering great walking. To the rear of the property the garden has magnificent views over the Ruardean valley, with the malverns visible over 25 miles away.

The Rock B & B is an ideal base for walking breaks in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Symonds Yat Rock and the RSPB Peregrine Viewpoint are only a short walk away along forest paths. Only 30 metres from the The Rock Bed and Breakfast is the long distance footpath the Wysis Way. The Wysis Way goes east over open country, then across the Forest of Dean. To the West the path goes into the forest and over the Welsh border to join Offas Dyke and the Wye Valley walk .the Rock Produce their own walking guides in addition to all the published guides to walking in the area

The Rock Bed and Breakfast Coleford, is Known for its generous and high quality breakfasts, where local ingredients are used wherever possible . We only use British Produced Pork free range eggs and organic milk

Vegetarian options available with Lindy's home made Vegetarian sausages a speciality and Chris cooks the local butchers award winning pork sausages sausages for the Non vegetarians

Meals are served in the breakfast room/Lounge overlooking the garden. A popular room with clubs and groups to meet up, chat around the wood burner of just watch the big screen TV.

All rooms are located in an annex to the main house and have direct access from the large secure carpark. Guest rooms all have forest views. The two ground floor rooms are dog friendly and two rooms dog free for those with allergies. Free WiFi access is available in the Lounge/ breakfast room.

The nearest tourist information centre to cover the Forest of dean and Wye valley is in Coleford a short drive away.

Bracelands and Christchurch Camp site are about a mile away by car and a 20 to 25 min walk away by forest path and we are also popular with people visiting friends or family who are camping.

The Rock B&B is near Clearwell Castle which is is a 10 minute drive away , making The Rock popular with individuals or groups attending functions at venues such as Clearwell Castle as well am many other local venues.
