The Waitrose effect on self catering accommodation

The Waitrose effect near The Rock B&B Coleford The Rock B&B Coleford offers some rooms with kitchens and with Waitrose and Marks and Spencers food stores nearby is ideal for those wishing to Self Cater. Apparently having a Waitrose near you house can add 12% to its value. I wondered the other day, if self-catering accommodation near a Waitrose could also fetch a premium  or even be more popular. Two of our rooms at The Rock B&B Coleford have small self-catering kitchenettes and we hope next year that all our rooms will. We notice that getting a ready meal to heat up in the microwave or even a picnic to take into the garden, or on your own patio area is popular. This part of the Forest of Dean near Symonds Yat is fortunate that Monmouth which is only a short drive away not only has a Waitrose but also a marks and spencer store. Where the meal deals for two are very popular with guests who don’t want to eat in some of the local pubs/restaurants. What do you think? Would you be more likely to book self catering accommodation because it was near an M&S or Waitrose?
