Dog friendly, open plan, two storey luxury cottage

Forest View Cottage offers an open plan contemporary styled kitchen/dining/living area on the ground floor and a spacious double bedroom upstairs with king sized bed and separate shower room with heated towel rail. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine and pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery. There is a 49” Freeview TV in the living area and a 17” Freeview TV in the bedroom. All bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. Outside is a decked area with garden furniture and access to the large grounds. Forest View Cottage is dog friendly accepting up to two well behaved dogs (at extra cost) – with the forest just opposite The Rock there is plenty of space for exercise.  
The Rock offers plenty of car and bike parking and electric charge hook up points (at extra cost). 
The local shop is 2 miles down the road and the closest pub and restaurant is ¾ mile away. 
There are easy transport links to Gloucester, Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff. 
All accommodation and grounds are non-smoking. 

Price guide: £81 - 100 per night for the cottage, plus a small premium for up to two dogs (£5 per night payable on arrival)

This is one of the best self-catering places we've stayed in. Clean, well appointed and very well-organised; everything we needed was there, plus some unexpected and thoughtful welcome gifts. A comfy bed with a stunning view from the bedroom window, and an easy walk to Symonds Yat rock through the woods opposite the lodge.

We had a really lovely stay at Forest View Cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, it had everything we needed. We really appreciated the little touches that made it feel welcoming and homely, they had very sweetly left fancy treats for our dog (fancier than he gets at home!) as well as a nice selection of little goodies for us and pint of milk in the fridge (perfect after a long drive). The cottage was in gorgeous surroundings and our favourite part was walking every day in the forest with our dog. It was just what we needed, quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Anthony, Sally and Beth were perfect hosts, thank you for having us we are looking forward to coming back!
